Nopoló Flow

This commission for an exterior installation is on a new home Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico. I partnered with Rochelle Schueler, WildRose Artworks, to create this work. We worked closely with our client on the color palette and materials to blend in beautifully with the design of the home. We used high-fire ceramic tile, marble, stone, Mexican smalti and Mexican vitreous glass tile, identical to the tile lining the swimming pool. Detail focal points are salvaged rusted objects. After viewing these photos, click through to Rochelle’s site, for the story of obtaining the commission, our hunt for materials, fabrication, and installation in Mexico. I also documented the whole process on my blog, and we have a video shot with a drone flying over the home in the final post.
